[PICS] Samsung Galaxy S3 With Android 4.0 & Flexible Super AMOLED Plus Display Prototype Leaked?

Late yesterday, Samsung went ahead and confirmed that we won’t be seeing the Samsung Galaxy S3 at MWC 2012 next month after all. Instead, it would be unveiled at a special event separately a couple of months later.

Is this a Samsung Galaxy S3 prototype?

Now Samsung has been known to change its device design at the very last minute if its called for. Take for instance the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 which was taken back to the drawing board when the iPad 2 was unveiled as being the thinnest tablet on the market. Samsung made a couple of design changes and released a different Galaxy Tab 10.1 that was thinner than the iPad 2.

So the same could be expected from the Samsung Galaxy S3 and hence why new pictures circulating around the Web are being dubbed as one of the many Samsung Galaxy S3 prototypes. This one in particular (pictured below) utilizes a flexible Super AMOLED Plus display. We’ve seen Samsung unveil this technology in the past (Samsung Galaxy Skin) but it never made it into production models.

At first glance the Samsung Galaxy S3 prototype looks a little strange. We can see the Samsung logo in the background of the image and the phone itself appears to be displaying what is on-screen buttons – possibly Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with a TouchWiz layer.

Nothing else can be deduced from the images at this time so we will just have to wait and see if this truly is the Galaxy S3 or some other Samsung prototype. We’ll keep you posted as more develops.
