HTC Flyer Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Update Closer Than We Think

The HTC Flyer may be scheduled for an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update quicker than we think. According to a new report from HTC-Hub, the tablet was recently updated to Android 3.2 (Honeycomb) from Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and now Android 4.0 may come as soon as this quarter.

HTC Flyer Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update may land in Q1 2012

Just like in the case of the Honeycomb update, the HTC Sense layers are expected to remain intact, which will be interesting to see given that we have yet to see how well HTC Sense will work on a tablet with ICS.

Given the hype behind Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, manufacturers are using that buzz to their advantage and promising timely updates versus the slow roll out of Gingerbread last year.

Given that the HTC Sense skill will remain intact, the update may not bring any visual advantages but user experience certainly should be slicker.
