[ALERT] ASUS Transformer Android 4.0 ICS Update Buggy

Earlier last week, we reported that the ASUS Transformer Eee Pad Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update had begun to roll out. It was later that week that we began to receive emails from readers stating that they were running into issues after successfully installing the update. Now, Ed Burnette of ZDNet has similar complaints:

“I installed the update over the weekend and have had nothing but problems ever since. The main problem is that every couple of hours it will decide to reboot itself, and then to add insult to injury, the reboot fails. The tablet hangs on the startup after rebooting, and you have to turn it off and back on to clear the problem. The Transformer doesn’t have a removable battery, so to do a hard power-off you hold the power button for about 10 seconds. Luckily that works.”

Burnette also points to threads at the XDA and Transformer forums where dozens of ASUS Transformer Android tablet users are complaining about similar issues.
